On Apr. 9 the Ashland University women’s lacrosse team traveled to North Canton, Ohio to take on the Walsh Cavaliers in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) matchup. The Eagles were able to pick up another big win in G-MAC play to help them remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0 and 10-4 on the season.
It was once again a team effort for the Eagles as they had three different players score three goals being led by senior attacker Ashley Fisher. The other two Eagles to score three goals were junior Lily Cain and senior Rachel Crumbacher as the Eagles picked up the victory.
The Eagles jumped out early on the Cavaliers scoring 10 goals in the first stanza and never looking back. After an incredible opening quarter the Eagles would play at a slower pace scoring four goals in the second and then following that up with five total goals through the third and fourth quarter on the way to victory.
The Eagles will have a quick turnaround as they will head to Canton, Ohio on Apr. 11 for another G-MAC matchup against the Malone Pioneers at 12 pm.
