On April 5 and 6 the Ashland University men’s golf team took a trip to Noblesville, Indiana to compete in the Ken Partridge Invitational. The Eagles as a team finished in a tie for 11th with Great Midwest Athletic Conference foe Northwood at 36-over par.
Senior Carter Mishler led the charge for the Eagles as he finished in a tie for seventeenth as an individual after shooting 77, 74 and 71 in three rounds. Another Eagle finished inside the top 30 as sophomore Shaun Mazzalupi shot eight-over in his three rounds of the invitational.
The Eagles struggled in round one shooting 20-over par as a team but would show some resilience in rounds two and three. In round two the Eagles shot nine-over par as a team and the trend of getting better continued in round three as the Eagles shot seven-over as a team.
Next up for the Eagles is the Wright State Invitational which will be a one-day event taking place on Monday April 13.
