On March 15 and 16 the Ashland University women’s golf team traveled to Richmond, KY to compete in the Findlay Spring Invite. The Eagles had a strong showing finishing in sixth place out of 15 teams that were competing.
The Eagles finished with a score of 65 over par, 32 shots away from the host team Findlay Oilers who finished at 33 over par. Junior LeeAnn Harker finished 14 over par to land her in 20 place individually.
The tournament only lasted two rounds as inclement weather canceled the third and final round of the tournament. After day one of the tournament the Eagles were in sixth place finishing with a team score of 35 over par. After having to finish the second round on day two the Eagles shot 30 over par as a team to solidify them with a sixth-place finish for the tournament overall.
Next up for the Eagles is traveling to Batavia, OH to compete in the NKU The Julie on March 23 and 24 to continue their spring season.
