On March 8 the Ashland University women’s lacrosse team traveled to Illinois to take on the Quincy Hawks. The Eagles were able to pick up a 18-10 victory in their first of two games in a row on the road.
For the Eagles, it was a team effort having 11 different players score a goal in their eight-goal victory. Leading the way for the Eagles was senior attacker Rachel Crumbacher and senior midfielder Ashley Fisher both score three goals and finished with a team high of four points.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 8-3 lead over the Hawks after the first quarter and the Eagles never looked back. The Hawks tried to keep themselves in this contest but after only scoring one goal in the second quarter the Eagles were able to run away with the victory.
The Eagles now improve to 3-2 overall on the season as conference play approaches. Next up for the Eagles is a trip to Missouri to take on fourth ranked Maryville at 1 p.m.
