USTFCCCA Top 25 rankings

The National Team Computer Rankings for the 2011 outdoor track and field season in NCAA Division II were released April 14. The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the leaders.

Abilene Christian took the top spot with 213.43 points while Adams State moved up from No. 3 to No. 2 scoring 201.06 points. Ashland is the highest ranked GLIAC team at No. 6 with 137.68 points.

AU was No. 7 last week but swapped places with Angelo State. The GLIAC as a whole is currently ranked No. 4 in conference strength.

Three GLIAC teams are ranked in the Top 25 this week. Grand Valley State is ranked No. 14 with 73.70 points and Findlay took No. 20 with 56.28 points. GVSU and Findlay also moved up one position from last week.

The USTFCCCA also announced the association’s week two National Team Computer Rankings for the 2011 outdoor track & field season in NCAA Division II for the women as well. The top nine spots stayed the same in the poll. Ashland is currently No. 6 with 117.14 points.

The GLIAC is ranked No. 2 in the conference standings for the second week in a row with two top 25 teams. Grand Valley State is ranked No. 2 behind Lincoln (Mo.).
