AU SAAC brings in new board members for 2024-25 Academic Year

The group also offers input on the rules, regulations, and policies of the athletes’ day-to-day lives

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for Ashland University (SAAC) has elected the board members for the 2024-2025 school year. SAAC is a committee made up of student-athletes that provide insight into their experience. The group also offers input on the rules, regulations, and policies of the athletes day to day lives.  

The elected board members for the 2024-2025 school year are:  

President – Avery Rosso (Women’s Soccer) 

Vice President – Jaden Cook (Football)  

Secretary – Ty Bowden (Men’s Soccer) 

DEI Chair – Macayla Harris (Women’s Soccer) 

Social Media/Marketing – Sabrina Trapani (Women’s Soccer) 

Financial Advisor – Emily Pate (Women’s Soccer) 

Student-Athlete Engagement – Klaira Paramore (Women’s Golf) 

Mental Health Chair – Ella Schneider (Women’s Soccer) 

Morgan’s Message Representative – Rachel Crumbacher (Women’s Lacrosse) 

Community Service Chair – Rachel McCool (Women’s Soccer) 

Macayla Harris, the current DEI Chair and will be serving on the board next year as well is excited for the following year.

“Our goal for next year is to get as many student-athletes to join our Ashland SAAC group as we can, the more people we can get to join SAAC the better,” she said. “We want to get the student-athletes here at AU to make a difference within our community and joining SAAC is a great way to get started.”   

For the remainder of this school year, the SAAC group will be hosting the annual Ashpy’s Award Ceremony which will be held in upper convo on April 28th with the red carpet starting at 5:30 and awards beginning at 6.

“The Ashpy’s (athlete award ceremony) is an exciting opportunity to acknowledge student-athletes for their accomplishments and hard work and of course seeing everyone all dressed up and having a good time is really fun,” said Trapani.

Macayla Harris, Sabrina Trapani and the rest of the board are excited to see the hard work pay off with people celebrating at the awards ceremony.
