This was a successful weekend for the Ashland University stunt team, as they secured four wins in a two-day stretch.
The run began with a nail-biting 24-23 victory over Division I Mercyhurst. The Eagles are gaining momentum after opening the season with two consecutive losses.
Ashland then swept three Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contests, remaining unbeaten in conference play. The Eagles faced the Malone Pioneers once and the Ursuline Arrows twice.
In the opening game, the Eagles defeated the Pioneers 36-14. They followed with a 12-0 win over the Arrows, holding them scoreless in the second matchup of the day.
After a one-hour break, the Eagles closed the day with a rematch against the Arrows. They built a first-half lead and finished with a 13-1 victory.
The three wins improved the Eagles to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in G-MAC play.
They will face the Tiffin Dragons on the road Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2:30 p.m.
