Ashland University’s swimming and diving teams kept their winning streak going on Saturday afternoon, beating Washington and Jefferson College at Messerly Natatorium for their fourth straight home win.
The AU women earned a 240-38 victory, and the men followed with a 227-59 win.
Senior Nick Girz led the way for the men, winning the 50-yard freestyle and 100 free. On the women’s side, sophomore Yasmim Tomita took first in both the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke. Junior Riley Hunt swept the diving events, posting scores of 242.33 on the one-meter and 250.20 on the three-meter.
More wins included juniors Grant Brown, Hannah Yemec, Payton O’Toole and Evan Kemp. Ashland also took all four relays, with the men’s 200 free relay team of Cole Huebner, Robin Falk, Jack Elliott and Girz finishing in a quick time of 1:26.87.
The Eagles will wrap up the fall schedule at the Don Kimble Invite hosted by Davenport on Nov. 21-23.
