SpringFest is a time to come and hangout around campus. This year there will be henna artists, food trucks, inflatables, silent disco, caricatures, license plates and so much more.

As the countdown continues until SpringFest 2023, members of Campus Activities Board (CAB) continue to reveal on their social media the many activities and attractions that will be occurring.

During the night of April 21st there will be a concert in Redwood Hall to see native Ohio pop band The Wonderlands, with tickets selling for $10. As well as the Saturday, April 22nd from 1 p.m to 5 p.m there will be caricatures, snow cones, a sky dive inflatable, and more to be revealed on the CAB instagram.

The theme of this year’s festivities is Thrills and Chills.

Maeve Kelly, Co-Leader of CAB, said “We looked for inspiration from what supergames (the vendor we work with) had to offer for attractions, what other schools have done, and at NACA (the national campus activities conference we attend). Our group really just put our heads together to come up with a fun theme that we thought students would enjoy!”

For Friday nights events, The Wonderlands, not much history is found about the bands origins since they began playing in 2018; however members of CAB thought they were great enough to bring to campus to share with the student body.

Co-Chair of CAB, Hannah Mantle, explained “CAB chose the wonderlands because we found them through NACA regional and thought their music was broad enough that lots of students would enjoy it and it reflected the vibe of springfest weekend.”

Despite the inclement weather reports, SpringFest attractions are still planned to happen, though with a possible change of scenery.

“If the weather is bad enough then it will be moved inside of Redwood,” Kelly explained. “We are going to try really hard to keep it outside because the things we have planned will work best outside but we are able to make it work inside if needed.”
