Students and staff prepare for spring registration

The Registrar’s Office is located in room 206 in Founders Hall and is open Monday- Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

It is that time of the year again, people are preparing for the holidays and most importantly, Ashland University students are preparing to register for the spring semester.

With this comes many questions, like “what classes should I take?” or “will I be on time to graduate?”

Mark Britton, AU Registrar, suggests that students contact their advisors with any questions on what classes to take.

To register for classes at AU, all returning students must meet with their faculty advisor before being able to register, a process that The Registrar’s office calls “greenlighting”.

When asked for advice on registering for classes Britton said to “go into Student Planner and look at your program and see what area that you still need courses in and be thinking about it before you meet with your advisor”

He also suggested that students continue to check back at their schedule up to the day that classes start to make sure their schedule stays how they want it.

The office has gone through many changes since Britton took over the position of Registrar in 2018.

The office has gone through staff changes in the past couple of years, with some leaving and some moving on to other positions at AU.

The Registrar’s office is also currently in the process of transferring all physical documents to digital.

Despite these changes, Britton does not believe that it has affected their ability to do their job

Britton encourages students to reach out to The Registrar’s office if they have any questions.
