Easter is approaching as we enter the month of April, and Ashland is no disappointment with its variety of spring-related events.
Starting off the celebrations is The Inn at Ashland Woods. On April 2 at 6 p.m. they will be hosting an easter egg hunt as well as an opportunity to get photos with the Easter Bunny. This event is for ages 12 and under.
Following the Easter theme, Brookside Park will hold its annual easter egg hunt on Saturday April 4 at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to be between the ball field and the pool early. This event is sponsored by the Ashland Elks Chapter 1360.
On April 7 Ohio Fire will host Trivia Night in cooperation with the Ashland County Historical Society. All are welcome to attend but are encouraged to reserve a table ahead of time.
The following evening on April 8, the “All American Circus” will be at the Ashland County Fairgrounds. Alongside the entertainment, there will be children’s activities starting at 6 p.m. with the show followingat 7 p.m. For ticket information call (941) 870-7444; the fairgrounds will not be selling tickets.
For those interested in more artistic activities, the Coburn Art Gallery at Ashland University will host its opening reception for the 2026 AU Senior Art and Design Exhibition. Between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.,spectators may walk through the art gallery and speak with the artists while enjoying light refreshments.
On April 10 from 5 to 7 p.m., the Kroc Center will host its Friday Feelings with a focus on physical activities. Attendees can expect to see things like batting cages and a climbing wall. For non-members,admission is $7 each and members get free.

At 10 a.m. on April 11, Peace Lutheran Church will be hosting Beethoven’s 5th- 5K run in cooperation with the Ashland Symphony Orchestra. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
On April 16 the Ashland Theater will host two free showings of Major League. The first showing will be from 1 to 3 p.m. with the second showing 7 to 9 p.m. Free drinks and popcorn will also be provided.
The following evening, the Ashland Kroc Center will be holding Family Fun Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Activities could include laser tag or bounce houses. All members may attend for free, but non-members have a $7 fee.
Ashland County Fairgrounds will host a flea market and craft show on April 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome to walk around the grounds.
Also on April 18, the Ashland Symphony Orchestra will also be hosting Destination from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the archer Auditorium. Tickets range from $6 to $27 and can be purchased on their website.
The Ashland Theater will host “An Evening with Ray Wise” on April 20 from 7 to 10 p.m. This Q&A session will be for audience members to ask Mr. Wise any questions. For an up charge of $60 to $80,attendees can get autographs and photos.
The following Wednesday, the Ashland County Fairground will be hosting a plethora of events in honor of Earth Day. From 4 to 8 p.m. all are welcome to enjoy. For anyone hungry, there will be a pasta bar for $12.
On April 24 the Kroc Center will host Family Skate Night from 5 to 7 p.m. During this event families will be able to get a feeling for what skating rinks used to be like for a price of $7 a person, unless they are a member who may skate for free.
Ashland Main Street will also be hosting its third Final Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. on, April 24. Participants are encouraged to explore the local shops on Main Street during the extended hours.
