Poetry Write In: A Lust for Life
Oh! how I wish for eternity.
To live a life with complete surety
That even you, would not leave
Like so many others believe.
That even in death, our vows
Wouldn’t have time to cloud
The bond we shared here.
The life we’ve built here.
But alas, this cannot be
It seems simple: clear to see
That like a shooting star,
That we behold from afar
Life’s value is in its brevity
So full of suffering and amenity
And it is this that makes us live with sincerity.
Yet an after life- an eternal life, Hinges bliss and pain to obscurity.
But Now, right now, we Live!
With our time, well to give
To This life-
To This time-
To when I was here,
And you were too.
