The Lady Eagle secured their seventh win of the season after defeating Northern Michigan 4-1 on Oct. 15 in Marquette, Mich.

Ashland now has a record of 9-4-1 and 6-1 in the GLIAC and finished up their regular season with a road record of 7-2.

Northern Michigan Wildcats’ record is 2-9-2 and 1-4-2 in the GLIAC.

Ashland outshot the Wildcats 18-5 and had a 4-0 lead in corner kicks.

AU’s senior Morgan Bittengle was the game leader in goals this game making a total of three in the 29, 56, and 70 minute of the game. With 10 goals Bittengle is now tied for second in the GLIAC.

In the 56 minute of the game freshman goalie Abby Lampe was credited with her first assist after a long pass to Bittengle.

The other scorer for the Eagle was senior Kelsey McKernan in the 56 minute of the game after being assisted by sophomore Emily Ledbetter.

Northern Michigan avoided a shutout after freshman Julia Jonassen scored a goal in the 72 minute of the game.

The Eagle will hope to continue their winning streak at home against Saginaw Valley State on Friday Oct. 20 with kickoff at 7 p.m.
