Tennis rolls to perfect 5-0 in spring

Since returning to the courts for the spring season, Ashland’s tennis team has been on fire. Going back

to March 3, the women are perfect at 5-0.

The spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C. has been very good to the Eagles as they defeated the likes of

Slippery Rock, Brevard, Charleston and Northern Kentucky.

The final match of the trip, which was scheduled for the March 10, was cancelled against IUP.

On the season, Paige Cooper is 17-4 in singles match play while Kira Kotova is an impressive 19-1.

In doubles action, Cooper and Victoria Goudy are 13-7 accompanied by Corinne Pasley and Alexandra

Ware, who combine for a 14-7 doubles record. Kotova and Erika Sullivan have an overall doubles record

of 11-4.

The Eagles boast an overall record of 16-5. The team now heads to Indianapolis to take on Bellarmine

March 18 and Rockhurst March 19.
