Men’s Golf Second at NKU

The Ashland University men’s golf team finished second out of eight teams at the Northern Kentucky Spring Invitational, held last Saturday and Sunday (Mar. 19-20).

The Invite was held at the Pendleton Country Club.

AU finished the two-day tournament with a team score of 582 (+6).

Central Missouri won the championship with a score of 580 (+4).

Lewis (596/+20) was third and Grand Valley State and Northern Kentucky tied for fourth (597/+21).

Central Missouri’s Matt Miller took medalist honors. He shot 140 (-4).

Ashland’s top score was turned in by senior Michael Bowser.

He tied for second. Bowser shot 143 (-1).

Senior Ted Brink tied for sixth, shooting 144 (even).

Junior Jay Overy tied for ninth. Overy shot 146 (+2).
