Attention students! Are you looking for some great quality comedy?! Well, you’re in luck! The famous comedy duo, Frangela, is coming to AU Friday, April 29. The show, taking place in Redwood Hall, will be certain to provide some great laughs.

The Los Angeles based duo, consisting of best friends Francis Callier and Angela Shelton, have an impressive comedic track record.

The pair has been recently seen on NBC’s show, “I’m a Celebrity Get Me out of Here,” and recently starred in the hit film “He’s Just Not That Into You.” They are also being featured on VH1’s new series, “Undateable.”

They are regular guests on several shows including “The Today Show,” “Dateline,” “Showbiz Tonight” and “Best Week Ever.”

The twosome also hosts their own radio show, “This Week According to Frangela,” on KTLK in Los Angeles.

This show consists of the two tackling current issues in the news with humor and intelligence.

If their stand-up show here at AU is anything like their radio show, it will surely make for a boisterously fun time!

Individually, they have an equally impressive résumé. Frances, a Chicago native, has appeared in several shows including “Frasier,” “My Name is Earl,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “According to Jim,” “Drake and Josh” and “The Cleveland Show.”

She also stars as the fan-favorite “Roxie,” Hanna Montana’s bodyguard, on Disney’s show “Hannah Montana.”

Angela, originally from Detroit, boasts a similarly notable track record. She has appeared in numerous shows including “Grounded for Life,” “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” and “I Can’t Believe I Wore That.”

She has also done voice-work for the “Spider Man 2,” “Superman” and “Reservoir Dogs” video games, as well as for the animated comedy “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.”

Frances and Angela met while both were performing comedy at the world renowned Second City Theatre, in Chicago, Ill. They then became best friends and decided to form a comedic duo, combining their names to form “Frangela.”

They used their wit and excellent humor to begin their aforementioned impressive careers.

With all the hit series and movies these two comedians have been a part of, AU will most certainly be delighted to have the duo on campus.

They will definitely make for a great show, so come check them out and be prepared to have a great time!
