Transcript requests available online

By Corinne Doubek

In another attempt to make things academic processes on campus even easier for students, Ashland University has put transcript requests online. This process will now be much quicker and smoother for everyone.

Just like the senior graduation applications, transcript request forms were put online earlier this semester. The link to the request is found on the AU Registrar website and is titled “Click here to be directed to Student National Clearing House to start your request.”

The form will automatically be sent to the registrar’s office. Because of this, the need for paperwork is eliminated; so not only will the student not need to keep track of the form, the registrar office will have almost zero possibility of losing it, too. The only thing that would cause an issue is a glitch in the system.

According the AU Registrar website, the process of filling it out is just as easy as finding the form. All a student needs to do is click the link provided and follow the site step by step. First, choose Ashland University as the school, and then have a valid credit card, an email account, and signed consent ready.

Even though the process has been put online, students still must pay for their transcripts. The cost is $6 plus an additional $2.25 convenience fee. But the benefit of paying that convenience fee is the fact that the time required to do this request is much quicker than before.

The transcripts may still be requested in paper format in the registrar’s office if the student chooses to do so.
