The Ashland University STUNT Team found another stellar day on Saturday, April 5, securing two dominant victories over Heidelberg University and St. Elizabeth University.
With these wins, the Eagles have set new single-season program records, reaching 23 wins and playing a total of 30 games before heading to nationals. The team finished the regular season with a strong 23-7 overall record, including a 7-2 record at home.
The first game on Saturday saw the Eagles facing off against Heidelberg University, where they clinched a 17-0 victory. Senior flyer/tumbler Alyssa McLaughlin led the team with 45 points, while sophomore base/tumbler Emma Miller was named Tumbler of the Game. Senior base Mikayla Persinger was honored as the Stunter of the Game.
In the second game, the Eagles faced St. Elizabeth University and came out on top with a 12-0 win. McLaughlin, along with senior flyer/tumbler, Elly Dukes, earned the highest ratings in the game. Sophomore base/tumbler Kayla Bumgardner was named Tumbler of the Game, while freshman flyer/tumbler Natalie Grisak was recognized as the Stunter of the Game.
With the regular season now concluded, the Eagles are preparing for the Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee, from April 24th to 27th. The team has had an incredible season, broken records and setting new standards.
