On Feb. 5, the Ashland University IT department sent out an email discussing the recent scam emails going out to students, faculty and staff.
It stated, “Be cautious when reviewing emails, especially those requesting sensitive information or urging immediate action.”
The scam email is sent from a Sydney Clarke with a file stating “Ashland University.”
IT is urging students, staff and faculty to not open the file and to avoid any suspicious emails, links or files.
Anyone who receives a suspicious email, IT asks to report it to [email protected].
