Autumn trends and fall places in Ashland, Ohio

Rachel Ramsey

With fall quickly approaching, there are some cute and different trends that everyone is loving.

Colors like orange, burgundy, tan, hunter green, and brown are going to be seen all over campus.

Here are my four favorite items that are all the rave for this fall. Some of these looks can be found at Clothes Minded Boutique, a store located in downtown Ashland Located at 149 W Main St, Ashland, OH 44805.

Oversized sweaters

On a chilly day, these are the best! Coming in all different colors, these can be very trendy and comfortable to wear.

They can also go with almost anything! Whether it’s skinny jeans or your favorite pair of leggings, oversized sweaters never disappoint.

“I’m a big fan of the oversized sweaters because it allows you to be comfortable and stylish at the same time,” junior Tyler Zavala said. “There are so many looks you can get with just one sweater depending on how you want to look that day.”

Suede skirts

Suede skirts can be worn in the summer or fall and can be bought in almost any color.

Girls love these and they can go with any top! They are the perfect length and can be worn for any occasion.

“My favorite thing about the skirt is that it’s so comfy, yet stylish”, junior Hannah Swain said. “You can dress it up or down if you were just going to class or to a meeting.” Hannah said it’s “so timeless” and she could see herself wearing suede skirts when she is a teacher. She loves how unique they are because of the material it’s made out of.

Blanket scarves

These are so cozy and can top off any outfit for fall. Not only are these adorable, but they can keep you warm during those cold walks to class.

They also come in all different colors and are made out of a soft material.

“I like the blanket scarves,” sophomore Sam Duale said. “They are casual and you can match them with about anything. They go great with any fall look.”

Burgundy lipstick

Burgundy is the perfect shade for fall and can go with any outfit. This beautiful color comes in matte or a velvet gloss.

Almost every makeup brand sells this color, so it isn’t hard to find. This color will make anyone stand out and can complete any makeup look!

“I love this lipstick because it’s a really cute color and it goes with a lot of fall attire,” sophomore Olivia Davies said. “It’s not expensive and it adds a quick touch to any fall outfit.”

Chokers

These are being brought back from the 90’s and everyone loves them. They come in all different colors, thick or thin ribbon, and can be worn with casual wear or something dressier.

“I like how simple and cute they are,” sophomore Erica Ryals said. “They can pretty much go with anything and make any outfit look good.”

These complete any look and they can be found at any clothing or jewelry boutique.
