AU FSL kicks off annual Lip Sync

FSL philanthropy event supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Delta Zeta forms a kickline decked out in Hannah Montana themed attire.

Ashland University’s Fraternity and Sorority Life held the annual Lip Sync Battle to raise money for St. Jude’s Hospital on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. With over 100 attendees, the night was a crowd pleaser.

Each fraternity and sorority had to select a number of songs to fill around five minutes of dancing and lip syncing. The members of each group also had to create their own choreography to the set list of songs, as well as costumes.

Themes ranged from Hannah Montana and 2010’s hit songs to International Travel and Popular boy bands.

Theta Phi Alpha came out on top of the sororities, featuring a theme of Marvel’s Avengers and orchestrated prominent parts of the franchise to recent hit songs.

Phi Kappa Psi won the fraternity category with the theme of the Bachelorette. Members dressed up as contestants from the show and had a member of each sorority participate as the Bachelorettes.

Currently, the total amount raised for the event has yet to be determined and will be released in the coming days.
