Anchors Lewis Markham and Jordann Lopata prepare for the Election show back in 2020.

With midterm elections just around the corner, Journalism and Digital Media students have been planning a local election show for election night on Nov. 8 at 9 p.m.

Election Show 22 will feature student anchors and hosts participating in the local community of Ashland and other surrounding counties.

From analyses to interviews, Election Show 22 will be two hours of midterm election coverage, featuring candidates for the Ohio House of Representatives OH-67 seat, Melanie Miller-R and Drew Burge-D.

Dr. Benjamin Slomski, a professor of political science, will add Ashland campus perspectives with deep discussions on the upcoming elections.

As a converged department, the broadcast will feature live hits to the converged newsroom with editors and reporters of The Collegian, AU’s student-run newspaper, as well as student-edited packages from within the Ashland and campus communities.
