The Ashland University football team has been on fire lately sitting at a record of 5-0 on the season and 3-0 now in conference play.

Coming off of a 35-0 stifling victory against the winless Walsh Cavaliers, the Eagles have been slotted at No. 6 in the country, the same spot they were in a week ago.

The Eagles have been phenomenal this season posting an average of 37 points per game and giving up just 10 points per game.

The offense has continued to put up great numbers each week. On the season they have 53 total rushing and 49 total passing first downs. As a whole, the offense is averaging over 400 yards per contest to go alongside a grand total of 24 touchdowns.

On the defensive side, the Eagles’ defense has allowed just 200 offensive yards per game on 291 total plays.

With a five-game win streak under their belt, the Eagles look to Saturday, Oct. 15, where they take on the Ohio Dominican Panthers in conference play.

The Panthers sit at a current record of 4-2 overall on the season and 3-1 in conference play. Over the last two contests, the Panthers have outscored their opponents 59-7.

The Eagles will most likely be taking on their hardest opponent of the season to date.
