The Eagles were ahead from the start in the match up against Quincy in a game where Ashland amassed 63 points to top Quincys’ 23.

Austin Brenner, tied the Ashland passing record with five touchdowns in a single game followed by two rushing touchdowns to earn him the player of the game award. Brenner threw for 327 yards and rushed for 56.

The Eagles did not have a quarter in which they scored less than 14 points thanks to the high powered offense continually marching down the field and the stout defense keeping Quincy out of the red zone.

Brenners’ favorite target Garret Turnbaugh, led the receiving core with eight catches for 189 yards and two touchdowns.

The defense hounded the Quincy quarterback constantly, keeping him under immense pressure and sacking him four times, the most sacks in a game for Ashland this season.

Ashlands’ next opponent is Walsh, on Thursday, September 30th.
