Georgia Twins set to hit Redwood Hall for music and fun
March 12, 2019
Jordan and Tyler George are about to take the stage at Redwood Hall this Friday.
Born on December 28, 1995, Jordan and Tyler began their music career on Youtube in Nashville and Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 15 in 2011.
Today, Tyler is the drummer in the band while Jordan plays guitar.
They are well-known on Youtube for their covers of other artists’ songs, such as One Direction’s “Story of My Life” and Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally.”
In January of 2014, the duo released a 4-song self-titled EP debut album.
The “Story of My Life” cover became a popular video on Youtube, reaching over 300,000 views.
Because of the cover songs, they later received invitations to perform on reality shows such as “The X Factor” and even “America’s Got Talent.”
The first album, which included three songs, as well as an original song titled “Falling Hard,” was produced by Anthem Lights vocalist Alan Powell.
In collaboration with songwriter Kurt Hugo Schneider, the twins have received over 13 million views on their videos, while also acquiring over 48,000 subscribers on Youtube.
Along with those statistics of fame, they have also partnered with social media icons, with names such as Sammy Wilk, Spencer Kane, and Kenny Holland, among others.
The George Twins also opened on a 25 city tour for solo artist Alex G, and they shared the stage with Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams, Ryan O’Neale from Sleeping at Last, and Joy Williams from Civil Wars, just to name a few.
The success of the covers also has landed the twins on Playlist Live D.C. and Playlist Live Orlando.
Each year, a committee representing CAB goes out to select musical performers.
“There are delegates sent out to see musicians perform,” CAB co-chair Olivia Busse said.
The George Twins and their pop hits are ready to rock Redwood Friday.
