Celebrating Women in the Workplace Luncheon & Expo

Join The Ashland Chamber of Commerce and the women of Ashland in the annual luncheon and Expo on the celebration of women in the workplace.

Each business owner, administrator, or receptionist, role is vital to the running of an organization. This occasion gives the community the opportunity to recognize each individual for their service and expertise provided.

“All people of all walks of life have so much to give to our community,” Marylou Wilkinson of Pump House Ministries said. “They have special gifts, resources, and talents that if embraced and shared can add so much to our hometown.”

The event will take place on Thursday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ashland University’s Convocation Center located at 638 Jefferson St., Ashland, OH.

The cost will be $25 per person for chamber members, and $30 per person for non-members with registration being required.

“We love to see the area ladies come together and have a chance to network with each other, make new connections, learn something new and enjoy a great meal, catered by Ashland University,” Renae Osborne event coordinator said.

Vendor sponsors such as Pump House Ministries, Ashland Main Street, and Ashland County Community Station will be holding informational tables between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Insurance Executive and President of Hylant Corporations Kim Riley will be speaking on the subject of “He said, She Said – How men and women communicate.”

“It’s important for women to get together because we can speak into each other’s lives, encourage one another, and support each one’s business in some way,” Mrs. Wilkinson said. “Most women naturally do these things so when we come together it opens our eyes to other women that have similarities in lifestyles and if we are transparent we can bless one another in many ways.”

Along with the business expo there will be bingo, goodie bags for provided for the ladies that attend as well as a 10 gift raffle.

This unique luncheon is to focuses on encouragement, work life balance, and professional networking. Business owners, HR professionals, administrators or administrative assistants, secretaries or medical professionals are perfect for this event.
