CAB reschedules AJR concert

CAB has rescheduled the AJR concert for Feb. 24 at 9 p.m. in Redwood.

The event was originally set to take place in November, but was cancelled last minute.

“Back in November we had everything organized for them to perform here on campus, but unfortunately one of the members became ill and was not able to perform or travel,” sophomore Olivia Bosse, Committee B co-chair, said. “Therefore they had to cancel.”
CAB wanted to reschedule the concert after the cancellation, which took a lot of back and forth between the group and the band’s management.

“In order to get them to reschedule, our advisor Nicole Dyer kept in constant contact with their manager to try and find a date that would work best for both AJR and our campus which was a little difficult since they were in the process of announcing a tour,” Bosse said. “She also kept my co-chair Elinor Fortescue and I up to date on what was happening.”

Bosse is expecting the rescheduled event to go well since people are still just as excited as the first time the concert was announced.

“Everyone is really excited to hear that they have rescheduled and have made time to stop in Ashland during their tour,” Bosse said. “All of the members of CAB and Tech Crew are also hard at work to make sure the event will run smoothly and be enjoyable.”
Students can get their tickets starting Jan. 8 and the public can get them starting Jan. 16.

“Tickets are for sale in the box office in Hugo Young Theatre which is connected to CFA and is open Monday-Friday from 12-6,” Bosse said. “They are on sale to current AU students with a student ID until Jan. 16. At which point, students will still be able to pick up a compensated ticket with their ID but they will also be on sale to the public for $15.”

For any additional details about the concert or any other CAB events, Bosse encourages students to keep up with CAB on social media by following @cabashland.

“Students can stay updated on what is happening by following CAB on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Snapchat,” she said.
