Ashland University senior linebacker Carmon Wolfe has been named the GLIAC defensive player of the week for Oct. 4.

Wolfe had a career-high 17 tackles (11 solo) in AU’s 37-17 win over Northwood last Saturday.

The senior had two sacks (eight yards), three tackles for loss (14 yards) and a forced fumble.

He led an AU defense that held Northwood to three completions in 10 pass attempts. The ‘Wolves had one yard passing.

Wolfe has 51 tackles (23 solo) this season.

He is third in the GLIAC in tackles per game (10.2).
