College of Arts and Sciences calls for abstracts for 2011 symposium
January 20, 2011
The College of Arts and Sciences will host the Second Annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Symposium March 30 in Upper Convo.
Students from across the College of Arts and Sciences are invited to submit an abstract to present the results of their independent research projects, discuss their thesis work or literary analysis, exhibit their artwork, give musical or theatrical performances, or read an excerpt from their original literature.
Students have the option of delivering an oral presentation, performing, exhibiting artwork or presenting a poster. Abstracts must be submitted online by Jan. 28 at 5 p.m.
The CAS Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity is hosting an abstract writing workshop on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in 131 Kettering Hall.
More than 60 students participated in last year’s symposium, and this year’s event promises to be even bigger, said Andrew Greene, director of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity.
