Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day

By Logan Gay

Love was in the air this week with the campus getting ready for Valentine’s Day. Habitat for Humanity was selling Valentine’s Day cards and “Crush” sodas that a student could buy and have sent to that special someone in their life.

For some people, Valentine’s Day is a day of love, fun, candy and flowers. For others, however, it’s a day that just reminds them of how lonely they are.

Additionally, there’s not a lot to do around Ashland if students are looking for a romantic spot to take their significant other. But there were a few people on campus who are making it work.

Some people like Alyx Crislip left Ashland and planned on going on a romantic dinner with their boyfriend.

Others students, like Brittany Wilson, planned on having a romantic dinner at their favorite restaurant.

Shanna Valenti decided to spend the day with one of her close friends.

Unfortunately, there were some people who were not able to spend the day with their loved one because of distance and planned to surprise them by sending a gift.

No matter what people are doing on campus for Valentine’s Day, love is always in the air at the university.
