CAB event a success among students

Over the weekend, Campus Activities Board (CAB) held a dance that went up in suds. The foam dance party had a spectacular turn out. For the upper classmen, this was the second time they could have experienced a foam dance. For the under classmen, however, this was the first time for most of them.

CAB held a foam dance party two years ago, but held a glow dance party last year. Because the dance was popular, CAB reinstated the foam dance party, and it seemed to be a success. Most students thought the dance was enjoyable.

Sophomore Liz Waxter said she liked the uniqueness of the idea.

“I had a blast at the foam dance party,” she said. “It wasn’t your conventional dance. It had foam and dancing, what more could you want?”

The dance took place on the quad and consisted with two giant blow up pits filled with foam. A DJ booth was set up behind the pits and played music throughout the night.

Although students were covered in suds and water, they seemed to enjoy the night and many students said they hope for another foam dance in the spring.

However some students did not go because of different reasons.

Junior Casey Vocaire said she didn’t go because of her work load, although she still enjoyed her night.

“I just got back to campus and had a lot of homework … so I didn’t go and then friends who didn’t go, or already went, came over,” she said.

Overall the foam dance party danced its way to a student favorite and was deemed successful.
