AU Eagle’s running back: Anthony Taylor

After starting the season 0-3, the Eagles have bounced back with two straight wins over Northern Michigan (52-24) and Lake Erie (62-10). The explosion in offensive production has been led by junior running back Anthony Taylor, who broke a school record last week with 311 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Through five games, Taylor has rushed for 844 yards. The Eagles also established a school single-game record for rushing touchdowns with eight and came within six yards of equaling the record for total rushing yards in a game of 447 that was set in 1970. The Eagles take on Ohio Dominican this Saturday in the homecoming game at 1 p.m. at Jack Miller Stadium.
