The Ashland University Volleyball team lost three straight matches on the road at the Midwest Region Crossover in Hammond, Ind.
The Eagles faced the Davenport Panthers to open the match and were swept 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-20). Junior Ravin Morgan had five kills and two blocks in the first match. Junior Abbey Queen had 12 digs in match one, and junior Marin Dixon had 13 assists.
The Eagles then turned to face the Rockhurst Hawks, where they also got swept 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-12). Dixon had 20 assists in the second match; Queen had 17 digs, and sophomore Sara Krizsa led the offense with eight kills.
The third and final match looked a lot like the first two and resulted in the Eagles getting swept 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-13) by the Northern Michigan Wildcats. Krizsa ended the match with 11 kills and a block. Morgan, sophomore Livi Miller and sophomore Myia Etzler all had four blocks throughout the match. Dixon had 23 assists and senior Macy McNamara had 14 digs.
The Eagles remain on the road and will take on the Walsh Cavaliers on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m.
