On Sept. 23, Ashland University’s Toxicology Club held their first meeting of the semester by having a murder mystery event for members.
The meeting first started with Dr. Trimble being found missing and it was up to the students to find clues around the Kettering Science Center to try and figure out who did what to Dr. Trimble.
After finding all the clues, participants were led back to the start where they had to decode a picture and message from the culprit.

The picture was a wanted sign with the picture of who committed the act and the letter said that the culprit was hiding in the green house.
President of the club, Isabel Ortiz said, “We like to do fun more lighthearted activities. So, we thought it would be fun to put people around on a scavenger hunt and just like Easter eggs of little tox stuff along the way.”
The club has plans to meet at least three times a semester and is working on getting other events such as a professional speaker to talk to students about different jobs in the toxicology industry.
“There’s not a lot of majors so it’s like nice to hang out and do some fun, silly stuff that’s just tox related,” said Ortiz.
