Ashland University’s volleyball team added a clean 3-0 win (25-16, 25-20, 25-22) against Kentucky Wesleyan in a Sunday Great Midwest Athletic Conference match.
The Eagles improved to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the G-MAC, marking their best start through nine matches since 2019. The Panthers fell to 1-8 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
Ashland hit .245 as a team, its third-best percentage of the season, while managing to hold Kentucky Wesleyan to only .041. The Panthers hit in the negatives in each of the first two sets, as the Eagles delivered their strongest defensive performance of the year.
Junior setter Marin Dixon recorded 32 assists to lead the offense. Sophomore middle hitter Livi Miller added six kills on .600 hitting and has posted a .474 mark over her last three matches. Senior defensive specialist Macy McNamara and junior libero Abbey Queen contributed 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
The victory was Ashland’s fourth 3-0 sweep of the season.
The Eagles return to Kates Gymnasium on Tuesday to host Malone. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
