On Sunday, April 27 fashion merchandising hosted their very own fashion show at the Ashland Theatre called Lights, Camera Couture.
This event showcased a wide range of styles and designs inspired by iconic films such as Wizard of Oz, Scooby Doo, The Princess Bride, Star Wars and more.

“Everybody picked two movies and we’re each making two outfits,” senior Elena Robinson said.
All the pieces were personally created by the fashion merchandising students at Ashland University.
“The fashion show is unique just because it’s all student made, we’re making everything from scratch,” explained Robinson.
“They (students) worked extremely hard the entire semester,” said the fashion merchandising professor Allison Rossi.
The designs were modeled down the runway either by a volunteer model or by the designer themselves one by one until the end, where they all powerfully walked through at once.

“They took a lot of time and effort and everything you saw was created by the students,” said Rossi.
The fashion show was open to both AU students and the public which lead to a full theatre who came to support the long list of designers.
