On Wednesday, April 1 the Ashland University womens’ lacrosse won against Northwood with a final score of 23-6. The Eagles now sit at an overall record of 11-5 and a conference record of 7-0. Northwood now sits at an overall record of 4-8 and a conference record of 1-5.
With this win, the Eagles have now tied their program record for single-season wins.
During this game, 12 different Eagles scored at least one goal, and 13 had at least one point. Junior attacker Ashley Fisher led the way with five goals and four assists for nine points. This marks her 15th goal this season, which makes her the first Ashland University womens’ lacrosse player to post at least that many goals in two different seasons. Her 94 points are also a new program standard.
Other Eagles had solid performances this game. Junior attacker Rachel Crumbacher finished with eight points from five goals and three assists. Both her and Crumbacher have broken the previous program single-season assists. Junior goalkeeper Annie Duncan made four saves.
The Eagles out-shot the Timberwolves 47-15 and forced 22 turnovers from the Timberwolves.
They will finish their regular season on Saturday, April 19 against the Findlay Oilers at noon.
