The third and final round of Indianapolis’ Ken Partridge Invitational was played on Tuesday, April 8 where the Ashland University’s men’s golf team finished sixth place in the 20-team all-Midwest Region field. At 294 first round total of 18 holes-295 second round total of 18 holes-289 third round total of 18 holes—878 total combined, the Eagles trailed only team medalist Missouri S&T who had 285-291-283—859, Wayne State finished with 283-296-287—866, Ferris State scored 295-289-285—869, Grand Valley State with 286-300-284—870 and the host Greyhounds with 290-293-289—872.
Finishing off a top ten individual placement was junior Carter Mishler, who was eighth at two-under 72-71-71—214. He recorded nine birdies in the week.
Tied for 14th was freshman Charlie Fish, who had an eagle on Tuesday, ten birdies overall and ended at 75-72-70—217.
Junior Lukas Schreck with 73-78-76—227, eight birdies and freshman Shaun Mazzalupi had 76-74-77—227, eagle, six birdies each tied for 68th and senior Matthew McMullen rebounded on Tuesday with a 72 and an eagle, ending at 74-86-72—232 which was tied for 94th along with six birdies.
Up next for the team is the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships in Florence, Ind., on April 21-23.
