The Ashland University lacrosse team lost to the Maryville University Saints on Monday, March 31 in a final score of 21-9.
After this loss, the Eagles are now 7-5 overall. Maryville is 9-1 after their ninth consecutive win. This was the last out-of-conference game in the regular season for the Eagles.
Despite the loss, a few Eagles still had solid performances. Junior attacker Rachel Crumbacher led the offensive with one goal and four assists for a total of five points. Freshman attacker Tori Wanat scored a hat trick.
Maryville out-shot Ashland 36-17.
Coming up next for the Eagles, it’s a very important return to conference play. They will face the Tiffin University Dragons on Saturday, April 5 at Tiffin. The Dragon and Eagles are tied with Walsh for first in the conference, all having a 3-0 record.
