Every year at Ashland University, Fraternity and Sorority Life puts on “Greek Week” for all members.
Greek Week includes six days of friendly competition between the fraternities and sororities on campus.
This year, from March 10 to March 15, the three fraternities and four sororities were organized into two groups: Fire and Ice.
Team Fire consisted of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, the Kappa Sigma fraternity and the Alpha Phi sorority.
Team Ice included members from the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, the Delta Zeta sorority and the Theta Phi Alpha sorority.
The week of fun began with window painting in the student center, where each chapter designed a window to support their team.
Many different events took place throughout the week.
FSL held a food drive along with the Student Life office. With each contribution, each team earned points in the competition.
In another fundraiser, a penny war took place all week. Again, the teams were able to earn points with each donation, and the results of the fundraiser were donated to St. Jude’s.
Hands-on games were held each day on campus. Some of the events included a family feud competition and trivia night.
Towards the end of the week, the events began to heat up.
3×3 basketball games took place in the Recreation Center, as well as battleship, volleyball, kickball, dodgeball and archery tag.
After days of fun and games, participants ended the week by attending the Greek Honors ceremony on March 16, acknowledging
all their hard work.
