Ashland University’s men’s tennis team topped Oberlin on the road on Wednesday, Feb. 19 in a 5-2 decision.
The Eagle men improve to 4-1 overall with no conference play currently.
The men’s single matches were won 4-2 by No. 2 sophomore Ryohei Miyake defeating Enrique Margain Rangel, No. 4 first-year student Bernardo Duarte def. Max Brose, No. 5 sophomore Kaj Salzano defeating Oliver Faranda and No. 6 junior Gabriel Seminario defeating Rowan Ing.
For the doubles match the men won two matches with No. 2 Reid Opel/Miyake defeating Brose/Margain Rangel, 6-4 and No. 3 Duarte/Seminario defeating Makada/Oliver Knijnenburg, 6-2.
Up next for the Eagles they will play Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1:30 p.m. vs. Salem in nearby Wooster, Ohio.
