The No. 21-ranked Ashland University wrestling team finishes the 2024-25 regular season with the most single-season duals wins for an Eagle team in 13 years after topping Davenport with a score of 53-0 and host Thomas More with a score of 44-9 on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Ashland went 13-2 in dual matches this season, which the 2011-12 Eagles also accomplished.
For the 125-pound class, No. 13 Luke Acuna won by decision on Trevor Wilcox 12-4.
The 133-pound class Rylen Campbell pinned Christopher Ferraro in 2:36.
The 149-pound class Hayden Kuhn won by technical fall against Hunter Isaacs.
For the 157-pound class Lance Overmyer pinned Logan Brown in 2:58.
The 165 pounds class won with No. 5 Nate Barrett beating Jahmon Spiller with technical fall. No. 9 Severiano Garza pinned Jacob in 1:53 for the 174-pound class. No. 14 Peyton Lemon won by forfeit for the 184-pound class.
Finally, Wyatt Bailey pinned Chase Emmert in 1:30 for the 285-pound class.
The 2025 NCAA Division II Super Regionals start on Saturday, March 1 at Tiffin University.
