On Sunday Feb. 2 at Kate’s Gymnasium the No. 21-ranked Ashland University competed in a home dual match against the Findlay University Oilers.
The team earned its first dual victory since taking the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) championship.
The Eagles beat the Oilers in a decision of 26-16 allowing them to sit at 9-2 in duals this season while the Oilers move to 4-4.
In addition to three forfeits, Ashland secured victories from No. 5-ranked 165-pound junior Nate Barrett who is 22-9, and won by a 15-4 major decision against Andrew Knick.
Sophomore 197-pounder Reese Redman who is 8-11, won with a 9-5 decision over Luke Sparkman.
Finally, sophomore 285-pounder Elisha Baldridge who is 8-3, won a 9-0 major decision over Zain Bell.
The Eagles will take the home mat once again on Friday Feb. 7 for Senior Night against West Liberty at 7 p.m.
