Ashland University softball season is geared to start their 2025 season Friday Jan. 31 to Saturday Feb. 1 at the Music City Invitational in Nashville, TN.
The Eagles finished their 2024 season with a record of 19-26 overall and 12-14 in the conference, coming short of playing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) tournament.
The Eagles look to start fast in this upcoming preview, last time they competed at this Invite the team found two wins, one loss, and a game cancellation.
“As far as what we’re looking forward to, this season is just a year of growth. I am excited to see these women handle adversity and show everyone how truly hard they have been working,” Head Softball Coach Jacqueline Price said.
The team found more losses than wins last season; however, Price finds that the team is capable of finding success this season.
“This team is deserving of success and has the capability to achieve it, so once we put it all together it will be exciting to watch on the field. We are truly looking for our team to compete as a team this year,” Price said.
Team is the name of the game and that is what coach Price wants out of her squad.
“Everyone is going to have a role and do their job to the best of their ability. There is definitely great competition out there that we are looking to prove ourselves against this year. We have the tools and means to do it we just have to put it together.”
The team will take on the following teams for their upcoming invite: Indianapolis, Missouri St. Louis, McKendree, and Illionois Springfield.
