This weekend, Ashland University Music Department held their 48th annual Madrigal Feaste.
The Feaste included an interactive show and dinner that included roast beef, roasted potatoes, and figgy pudding.
The show itself is focused on Old England during the Holiday season. Christmas Carols were preformed to bring the Christmas spirit onto campus.
While the audience was enjoying their food, the jester and the players went around talking to people in the audience. In the crowd, players juggled, and others were running around talking to everyone.
Once the main dishes were finished being served, the jester and players then put on a play about two kings trying to get children to get married to each other.
Afterward, dessert was brought out, and then audience members were brought up to help perform twelve Days of Christmas.
The performance ended with old Christmas Carols, such as, “Silent Night.”
Server Ellie Nickoli said, “This is my second year doing Madrigals. Last year I was a wench and so I served the head table, but this year I got to serve some of the faculty I knew which was a lot of fun.”
