On Oct. 21 Donley Ford Ashland, just hosted their first trunk or treat. At the event, there were many participants and activities for families.
The event was filled with Halloween spirit; everyone did their part to make sure the trunks were well decorated.
There were some cars that had a specific theme that the trunk had and then the owner of the car had a costume that matched it.
While at the event, there were a lot of families with kids who were excited to be able to get candy and see other people with different costumes.
In the middle of the area, there was a place for families to get their photos taken with a sign that read trunk of treat 2024.
There were also food trucks at the event so families could get food and drinks.
Meg Schultz, Donley’s marketing assistant said they have trunk or treat at their Mount Vernon location in the past and this year that they wanted to do it at a larger location.
“Our goal of this event is to try to put their name out there. We want people to know that we are more than a car dealership, we are a family,” said Schultz.
They also wanted to make people feel more welcome at their car dealership. They want people to see that they are family friendly.
For their long-term goal they are hoping to make trunks or treat at their dealerships as an annual event.
