Ashland residents arrested for drug possession

The following is a press release forwarded to the Collegian staff regarding a drug related incident that occurred earlier this morning nearby Ashland University’s campus.
On 01/22/2016, the Ashland Police Division, in cooperation with the METRICH Enforcement Unit, served a search warrant for narcotics at 915 Broad Street Ashland, Ohio 44805. The case was a direct result of citizen complaints referring to possible drug activity at the residence.
The following were arrested during the warrant service:
1) Mandy S. Pearce (36) for Possession of Heroin and Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments.
2) Johnathon A. Haynes (29) for Possession of Heroin and Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments.
3) Allysen M. Workman (21) for Obstructing Official Business.
4) A 16 year old male resident of Mansfield, Ohio was also arrested for Obstructing Official Business and Resisting Arrest.
During the course of serving the search warrant, Investigators seized suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments and evidence of drug trafficking. The Ashland Police Division was assisted in the investigation by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and Ashland County Child Protective Services.
