At the March 19 Student Senate meeting, Senators were suggested to promote the upcoming election.
The importance of these elections was explained as it gives legitimacy and shows care for the school and organizations within it.
“All it takes is taking a packet and getting some signatures from your respective demographics, but I think it’s something that really matters,” said Zachary Scher, Senate president.
The election packets are due next Monday, March 25.
Goals for the Student Senate include getting all positions filled and improving. It was also encouraged for people to run for the ResLife position as it’s important to the Senate system and has not been filled recently.
It was suggested that if someone is thinking of running for a position to have their friends sign up as well to more people for the upcoming Election.
“If you’re running, you need to get other people involved,” said Scher.
Student senate meetings are hosted in the ABCD conference room in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center every Tuesday at 9:30 p.m.
