The Ashland University women’s basketball team has had itself an exciting 2022-2023 season. On top of the team’s undefeated season, a Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship and a Midwest Regional Tournament Championship, the Eagles are headed to St. Joseph, Missouri, to compete in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

While the coverage will be far and wide of a tournament consisting of just eight of the best teams in the country, Ashland University’s Journalism and Digital Media department, which has covered the team for the entire season, will be following the team every step of the way.

The department will be sending Cade Cracas, Ethan Jenkins, Brynn Meisse and Olivia Pliske to tell the stories of the players who have worked hard to get to this point of the season. Cracas and Jenkins will be providing full game coverage on 88.9 WRDL, with a pregame show beginning 15 minutes before tipoff.

Those interested in following the team during game time can do so here: wrdlfm.comĀ

All four individuals heading on the trip will be deep diving into the history, fans, culture and community of the Eagle women’s basketball team.

The Collegian knows how important this squad is to the Ashland community and plans to cover every nook and cranny available.

AUTV20, The Collegian and AUTV20 will have a variety of content and social media posts as the largest local news-gathering team heading to the tournament. They will be providing the most comprehensive coverage of the Eagles’ journey on all platforms as they look to run their way through the NCAA Division II postseason to the National Championship.
