Juried student exhibition at Coburn currently open until March 24
The exhibition displays 82 art pieces from 21 students. Visitors can expect to see painting, drawing, illustration, graphic design, sculpture ceramics, digital art, and printmaking.
The artwork displayed is from any Ashland University student that is taking a studio art class.
“The annual exhibition represents a culmination of student work from university art classes during the school year. Art students have taken their best artwork from the year, learned how to professionally present it for display, and then received feedback from an outside art professional. The viewer plays an integral part in the exchange between the artist and the form and content of the work,” said Cynthia Petry, director of Coburn Gallery. “The exhibition is an excellent opportunity to support the arts by purchasing student artwork, whether you are just starting to collect art or adding to a collection.”
The exhibition is free to the public and open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Gallery patrons have the opportunity to vote on their favorite artwork until March 19. The People’s Choice award will be announced on Coburn Art Gallery’s Facebook page on March 20.
